Traveling around New Mexico it is easy to believe that one is living during an age sometime between the Old West and the golden days of Route 66. The landscape is filled with ghost towns and small abandoned hamlets. Perhaps the world has changed too much and too quickly for most of those who inhabited a land where it was hard to make a living even in better times.
