Glow

The light of autumn in the northern reaches of the Atlantic can be otherworldly. The low elevation of the sun, even at noon, the clouds, the very slow-changing illumination. I live in a mid-latitude semi-desertic area, where sunsets are often astonishingly beautiful. But sunset at high latitude lasts all day. It is one of the reasons why I have grown so fond of the Norse homelands.
