Infrared Vision

We call visible light visible because we evolved on a planet that orbits a star that emits most of its light in that part of the spectrum. But what if our eyes were sensitive to longer wavelengths, in what we call the infrared? We would see colors that we can’t name, let alone imagine. But If we translated those colors to black and white, we might be able to see these scenes.
